Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using LOUD VOICE READER & The Scholar (the "Service"), available at loudvoicereader-scholar.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and LOUD VOICE READER & The Scholar ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). Please read them carefully before registering an account or making any purchase.

Description of Service

LOUD VOICE READER & The Scholar is a cloud-based document reading and AI-powered research platform that provides:

• Text-to-speech (TTS) conversion of PDF and other document formats using 50 celestial voices.
• The Scholar Agent — an AI assistant capable of summarizing, translating, quizzing, and generating reading recommendations.
• Access to 700+ global digital libraries for book discovery.
• AI-powered book suggestions and web search integration.
• Non-PDF file conversion (DOCX, EPUB, FB2, TXT, HTML, RTF, XML, CSV, ODT).
• Document export and AI-generated document features.

The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a free plan, paid Reader plans, and paid Scholar plans. You may upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings.

User Accounts

Account Registration

Registration is mandatory before accessing any product features, including The Reader, The Scholar, Libraries, and Suggestions. If you are not registered, attempts to open those features will redirect you to the registration page.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@loudvoicereader-scholar.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

One Account Per Person

Each person may maintain only one free account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limitations is prohibited and may result in permanent suspension.

CTA Routing Rules

App CTAs (primary and secondary), including those on landing and pricing pages, route first-time users to registration. Registered users are routed to pricing to continue with plan selection.

Plans and Pricing

Our services are offered through the following plans:

The Reader (Audiobook) Plans

• Free: $0/month. Includes 50,000 characters/month (~1 hour), 1 voice, 3 languages, web access, and community support.
• Basic: $9.99/month or $99.90/year (2 months free on annual). Includes 250,000 characters/month (~5 hours), 5 voices, all 11 languages, standard AAC audio, and email support.
• Premium: $14.99/month or $149.90/year (2 months free on annual). Includes 1,000,000 characters/month (~22 hours), all voices, offline mobile listening, priority queue, and no ads.
• Pro: $39.99/month or $399.90/year (2 months free on annual). Includes 3,000,000 characters/month (~65 hours), commercial use, batch EPUB conversion, usage analytics, and priority support.
• BYOK (Bring Your Own Key): $2.99/month or $29.90/year (2 months free on annual). Use your own Azure Speech key for unlimited synthesis; LVR provides the interface and sync only.

The Scholar (AI Research) Plans

• Free: $0/month. Limited AI actions per month.
• Pro: $12/month or $120/year (2 months free on annual). Full AI research companion with increased monthly credits.
• Research: $39/month or $390/year (2 months free on annual). Advanced research suite for power users with the highest monthly credits.

Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed in advance on either a monthly or annual cycle, depending on the plan selected at checkout. Annual subscriptions are billed as a single charge.

Payment Methods

We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) processed through Stripe, PayPal, Paddle, and Moneroo. All transactions are encrypted and PCI-DSS compliant where applicable. We do not store your full card number on our servers.

Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refund Rule

Refund is only possible for credits not used on annual plans when requested within the first 7 days of purchase, for both The Reader and The Scholar. Monthly plans and used credits are not refundable under this rule.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will be communicated with at least 30 days notice before they apply to your renewal.

Intellectual Property

Our Property

The Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos, TTS voice models, AI systems, and content created by us, is the exclusive property of LOUD VOICE READER & The SCHOLAR and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our platform without explicit written consent.

User Content & Uploaded Files

Your Files

You retain all ownership rights to the documents and files you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, analyze, and convert your files solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you.

Content Standards

You must not upload content that:

• Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights.
• Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code.
• Is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or violates any applicable law.
• Constitutes unauthorized reproduction of copyrighted material.

Storage and Deletion

Uploaded documents may be stored temporarily to facilitate the Service. You may delete your files at any time from your account. Upon account termination, your uploaded files will be deleted within 30 days.

AI-Generated Content

The Scholar Agent uses AI to generate summaries, translations, quizzes, and book recommendations. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, or omissions and should not be relied upon as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.
• You are responsible for verifying AI-generated content before acting on it.
• Generated content may not be used to misrepresent AI output as human-authored work in academic or professional contexts where such use is prohibited.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI output for any specific purpose.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access or extract data from the Service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Share your account credentials with third parties or allow multiple people to use a single paid account.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Interfere with the proper operation of the Service, including overloading servers or circumventing security features.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the Service without authorization.
• Upload copyrighted material without the rights holder's permission.
• Use the Service to generate content intended to deceive, defraud, or harm others.

Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription in account settings or by contacting support@loudvoicereader-scholar.com. Access continues until the end of the current paid billing period.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, abuse, or actions that harm other users or the integrity of the Service. Termination may result in forfeiture of any remaining subscription period.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOUD VOICE READER & The Scholar SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.
• Any conduct or content of third parties on or through the Service.
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
• Any inaccuracies in AI-generated content.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims related to the Service exceed the greater of $50 USD or the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

You agree that any legal action relating to the Service must be commenced within one year after the cause of action arose, or be permanently barred.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you disagree with revised Terms, your only recourse is to discontinue use of the Service and cancel your subscription.
